AI-Native CRM Platform

Quoting that follows your pricing rules, not the rep's memory.

Price Control is the pricing layer under your deals: a SKU catalogue with approved prices and discount limits, discount tiers that route approvals automatically, company tax settings and exchange rates. Deal totals are calculated from those rules rather than typed in.

What it does

  • A SKU catalogue with limits: Each SKU carries a code, category, tags, base price, an allowed discount range and optional prices in other currencies. Price-controlled SKUs are locked, so a rep cannot quietly change the number.
  • Discount tiers that route themselves: Define discount ranges and the group that approves each. A request is matched to a tier and routed automatically. Overlapping ranges resolve by priority, and a SKU can override tier matching entirely.
  • Tax and multi-currency: Set a company default tax rate, overridable per deal. Exchange rates are maintained against USD, with quick-add for nine common currencies and support for any ISO 4217 code.
  • Totals calculated, not typed: Products are added to a deal as line items linked to catalogue SKUs. Approved discounts, exchange rates and tax are applied automatically to produce the deal total.

Specifics

  • Per-SKU min and max discount %
  • Approval routing by discount tier, resolved by priority
  • Company default tax rate, overridable per deal
  • USD-based FX with any ISO 4217 currency

Common questions

Can a sales rep change a price on a price-controlled product?

No. Prices on price-controlled SKUs are locked. If a discount is needed the rep raises a request from inside the deal, and it is routed to the approval group configured for that discount range.

What happens when two discount tiers overlap?

Overlapping ranges are allowed and resolved by priority, where a lower number takes precedence. A SKU can also be assigned a specific approval group, which overrides tier matching entirely.

Does Alano handle multiple currencies?

Yes. Exchange rates are maintained relative to USD. Nine common currencies can be quick-added and any three-letter ISO 4217 code is supported. SKUs can also carry explicit prices in additional currencies.
